Marine Facility Evaluations

U.S. Forensic has extensive experience in the investigation and evaluation of damage associated with allisions involving vessels and marine facilities including, docks, wharfs, bridges, and associated structures. Our Registered Professional Engineers investigate failures and accidents, provide oral or written reports of findings, and provide courtroom testimony when required. We can offer evaluation and expert opinions as to the cause of damages, extent, feasibility, and appropriateness of repairs, repair options, cost estimates, and depreciation.

BILL JANOWSKY, B.S., M.S., P.E.

Mr. Janowsky obtained his Masters degree in Civil Engineering from Tulane University after his Bachelors degree from the University of New Orleans and is a registered professional engineer in civil engineering in the States of Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Alabama and Florida.

Throughout his career, Mr. Janowsky has performed and supervised the design and construction of numerous engineering projects consisting of new construction, modifications to existing features, and damage repairs from the initial client contact through the completion of construction. He has coordinated efforts of structural, mechanical, electrical, surveying, and drafting department personnel to produce concise, constructible design concepts and accurate construction drawings and specifications. His project experience includes civil/structural engineering design and analysis for marine, industrial, commercial, and public sector projects.

Mr. Janowsky’s forensic engineering experience includes in-depth condition surveys and damage inspections of marine and offshore structures, buildings, and facility components. He has provided engineering consulting services and forensic investigation in support of legal cases and has conducted project feasibility and cost studies for projects in the United States, United Kingdom, South America, and the Caribbean.
